Three-Output Flyback Converter with Synchronous Rectification for Improving Cross-Regulation and Efficiency

This paper proposes a single stage alternating current/direct current (AC/DC) flyback converter which contains three output windings with synchronous rectification (SR) function to achieve better cross-regulation and efficiency. Because the are stacked in series structure use instead of diode rectification, forward conduction loss can be eliminated, each winding flow bilaterally. Therefore, energy leakage inductance dissipated through heavy load without transient overvoltage light winding. Compared existing methods literature, proposed realized by simple analog IC fewer turns. Finally, under extreme imbalance condition, is still within ±2.26%. The maximum efficiency reaches 87%, about 3% higher than conventional Schottky solution’s circuit operation principle described. A practical prototype experiment results implemented verify feasibility converter.
